Finally it’s happening for her! Waii Punyarisara will soon be releasing an album with JYP all the way into the Land of Kimchi. We can say that she’s getting to live the Korean Dream just like Nichkhun Horvejkul. Rumors with Junsu 2pm can’t stop her now. Waii is preparing herself and is under intense training to prepare herself. She says that an opportunity like this doesn’t happen often so she is taking that chance. She also says that she still has a 5 year contract with RS Promotion and won’t be ripping it up or shredding the contract.
Wait, what? A 5 year contract with RS Promotion and a trainee under JYP? JYP PD-nim might have a problem with that!
Reporters asked her if the rumors of Waii preparing herself to go to the casting calls for JYP are true, Waii replied,
“I can say that this is a once in a life time opportunity and that if it comes I want to grasp it. I know a lot of people would do the same thing also if they were in this situation. Right now, I’ve already passed the dancing and singing part all I’m waiting for is the decision from the boards of the company. I haven’t spoken to RS about this yet, but I do have work every day.”
When asked if she did get the job would there be problems with RS? Waii said,
“There wouldn’t be a problem at all. There would never be a day that I would rip up the contract because I have much respect for everyone at RS and I love them. I am not going to another company, I’m not betraying them. I have 5 years left in my contract.” Is it because of the contract that’s why you can’t go International? “It can probably be the contract, but that’s not the real reason. The real reason is that I have to think hard about this and I have to think about the situations. If you ask me if I want it, I do want it. It’s a hard situation and if I go I want to go to the fullest, but it’s not up to me, it’s up to the elders.”

I have never heard her sing, BUT looking at the track records of all these teenage singers popping out of RS Promotions, I already have a feeling she can’t sing.
I don’t know how they see CUBE Entertainment as JYP because from what I know, CUBE Entertainment is like a sister/cousin company of JYPE but it’s not JYPE.

The news are so exaggerated, it says that she’ll soon release an album with JYP when in reality, she’s just going casting? Duh, all trainees have to cast and just because you cast doesn’t mean you’ll get in automatically. Like Go Hara from KARA, she casted for SME, JYPE, and DSP all these years before officially joining a label.

Yah, that’s not going to be possible. Waii is part of a 7-girl group, she has responsibilities and an image to live up to alongside a contract. Unless, RS supports her and allows her to be under Cube/JYP in Korea and a RS partnership in Thailand. A lot of artists do that, they have different management companies in different countries. But I doubt JYP is that generous with his artists, he’s usually personal with them, he likes to manage them himself.
I Don’t think she could do that she is going to go through a lot of conflict. Like she going to be able to learn Korean, vocal training, dance, and her contract with RS. And The seven days group, plus she is going to have to work her butt off if she is going to go solo!
LMAO… I haven’t heard any of her songs either but from the look of it, go figure, she can’t sing well. I wouldn’t want her at all, she didn’t even consult with RS and made her own decision. I am glad she made her own decision but she didn’t consult with RS.
Gossipstars exaggerated this. She gave an earlier interview with Kom Chud Leuk newspaper last month and with more details about her audition and stuff. Way better interview and I think more credible than Gossipstars lol. But she’s been back and forth between Thailand and Korea for the past 2-3 months so of course RS knows what’s up. She’s missed some Seven Days scedules because she was in Korea so how can RS not know. Whatever she’s doing I think is more of a joint partnership between the two companies since contract stuff can get messy if both don’t agree on the terms. But in the end, I highly doubt she’ll debut in Korea. At the most she might get to feature in something. And her voice isn’t that bad actually. She can carry a tune better than some K-pop idols like Sohee. Her singing style is annoying though. Too breathy.

I thought JYP was thinking of suing her for the Junsu thing. So why would he take her? Maybe of the old saying–keep your friends close and your enemies even closer.

There’s rumors that RS formed a contracted alliance with JYP like GMM Grammy did with Japanese company Johnny’s Entertainment.
If this is true, Waii can get a Korean album just like Golf Mike got their Japanese albums. It’s not that big a deal, and it wouldn’t require her to switch companies

never heard of this girl until recently, cause i dont listen to rs anymore. but i watched tv pool and she gave an interview about this and she didnt say anything about jyp or any company. she just talked about how she went in for casting, passed dancing and singing. now shes waiting to be called in to see if theres gonna be training. alot of you are saying shes talentless, all i keep thinking is…”this girl is not cute”. lol

JYP and RS may have a partnership but investment and promotions take a large sum of money, with some of that money going into promoting Wonder Girls in the US, I doubt JYP would be too happy about creating a new artist from scratch, doesn’t even speak a word of Korean, and stirred up tension due to the Junsu incident. Waii is cute and all but sadly, can’t sing and can’t dance but then again, as if Wonder Girls can sing either. This is all BS.

Khun was away from his family for like 2 yrs and they had to travel to Korea to see him.. and how can she have an album coming out? i mean, wasn’t Jo Kwon a cube/jyp trainee for 11 yrs before he got to debut? and Jaebeom was a trainee for 4 yrs.. so there’s no way “soon” is happening anytime soon. LOL!
