Gybzy’s Outfit – Too Sexy For Cannes Film Festival?

Actress “Gybzy” Vanida Temthanaporn attended Cannes Film Festival to repersent her movie “Nang Mai” and was heavily criticized for her outfit at the event. However the singer turned actress explains no one told her she had to dress in a conservative fashion.

 Gybzy confirms in her opinion she feels she dressed appropriately for the event and she is not upset by the critics because she understands everyone has different opinion.

“It’s just normal. They didn’t tell me I had to dress conservative. They said just dress casually, whatever you wore that day you can just wear it in to the function to take pictures. However at the red carpet dinner, it had to be a little bit formal of course and I don’t want to say what I wore is beautiful because someone else might disagree. It’s up to personal opinion.”

“When I was getting the clothes made, I thought it was beautiful and cute. Some people ask me why I chose to wear it to Cannes and I told them most of the time while I was in Cannes, I was shopping and then I get called to fo do this and that, it’s all very casual. The formal part is a very small part.”

“I confirm my outfits were appropriate for the event. At the red carpet ceremony I wore a dress, not a long one but they said a short dress is more appropriate. According to the feed back by the french photographers they said most people will dress a little louder, but not ugly. When they took pictures of me they complimented me to say that I was cute, which is a good thing. But no one called me beautiful, because I’m not that beautiful anyway”

Are you upset by the critics?

“Not at all. It’s normal, everyone has different taste, some people will like it, some won’t. But this is my style, so what can I do? I can’t dress according to other people’s opinion”

  1. It’s called common sense. No one needs to tell you what is appropriate or not, it’s the Cannes Film Fest for goodness gracious, have some class woman!! Just don’t jump at every opportunity to hog the spotlight with baring skin.

  2. Ok, what the hell? I highly doubt the first one is even a dress. That second one is wayyyyyyyy short. And what the hell is up with her shoes?! They don’t even match her “dresses.”

    Major fashion failure.

  3. Wow the one she wore to the Cannes Festival is really cheap and trashy. I agree with you guys I mean it’s common sense to dress appropriate atleast for the Cannes Film Festival. Even stars from all over look nice and it’s ashamed she’s dressed that way being an actress to represent Thailand. She needs a stylist badly! Pretty girl just no sense of fashion..*sigh*

  5. It’s okay to show skin, but you don’t have to pose like a skank. There’s a difference between posing and dressing sexy and just looking outright skanky. Her outfits are hideous and not one bit classy. She manners and style is not very classy. I hated how she answered the questions. Sounded arrogant and kind of full of herself.

  7. She’s wearing denim shorts with a blouse for the informal photocall. So it’s okay. She seemed a little awkward, but close ups on her face were nice.

    A new trailer for Nang Mai made my heart stop, she has such a gorgeous face.

    I hadn’t seen any pictures of what she wore to the evening premiere before. The little white dress seems fine until I scroll down to the hooves she’s wearing. Ack.

  8. Seriously? That’s considered too sexy. I find it pretty casual actually. The white dress could probably be considered too short in my book. But, it’s pretty cute.

    I agree with her, people have different tastes. You can never please everybody.

  10. I hate this girl. She’s so f*ckin stupid. She tries to act all sexy like she’s the ish or something. it’s like “reallyyy???” is she really that dumb?

    She should have known. It’s an American (white people) event. The red carpet, the oscars, the grammys… everyone dresses with a gown. there’s no excuse.

  11. i didnt like what she wore to the photo call .. even though the photo calls are somewhat casual i think the shirt and jean shorts were tooo casual and she should’ve worn something better …

    i actually like the dress she wore to the premier … even though it is really short …
