Chompoo reckons she can still pass as a 19 yr old

Channel 3′s hottest actress “Chompoo” Araya A. Hartgett is reportedly considered for the leading role in an upcoming lakorn “Sam Hua Jai” {Three Hearts} by “Piek” Pisarn Akarasaeranee (Director of Fai Ruk Asoon).  However, execs from the channel are disputing that the actress is simply too old to play the role of a nineteen year old girl.

While Chompoo respects the opinions of her superiors, at the same time she feels – she can still pass as a young teenager.

Lakorn Director Piek suggested your name for the leading role but the execs are in disagreement because the leading girl is only 19 years old

“Really? Oh, so I’m too old right? (smiles) I didn’t know about this but in the end it all comes down to suitability and I’m leaving this for the executives to decide”

Perhaps your name was considered because this role is a very strong character

“It’s not that strong and I have played some really light roles before. Like now I’m filming “Wiwa Wah Woon”, it’s a very light comedy and I like to rotate every now and again”

“I do understand that the execs need to consider suitability before anything and I respect their decision”

Are you upset with them because they don’t think you’re suitable to play a 19 year old girl?

“No I’m not upset because I think I can still pull it off (laughs) I can fake it, look I have a fringe, I can still pass”

So you don’t feel anything?

“No I don’t. You see it all time, like in hollywood you will see a mother of 3 playing as a high school student. And I’m an actress, I can play anything right? I don’t even know if this news is true or not, I’m just saying (smiles)”
